Dr. Howard Short: I didn’t even know what a chiropractor was when I was younger. My parents were medically oriented; my dad being a surgeon, my mom is an RN. I had no idea what chiropractic was until it came to be about 16 years-old when I had my first experience with a chiropractor. I had many sports injuries and each one of them got helped with chiropractic. It just kept getting better every time I went, no drugs, no surgery, it was like wow. This is a profession that exists; I want a piece of that.

Dr. Alyssa Holum: I originally knew I wanted to be a chiropractor around high school age, I was playing competitive volleyball. I had a pretty severe injury and I was told by of doctors that I wouldn’t be able to play throughout high school and probably not in college. So my mom decided to take me to the chiropractor and I walked in in severe pain, barely able to walk, and walked out standing up straight. He told me I would be able to play and he changed my life and I knew that I wanted to do the same for others. It’s one of the greatest things.

Heather Short: I remember before Cash Practice years ago, I would spend hours and hours in the office doing paperwork.

Dr. Howard Short: When we started our practice it was just me and my wife Heather, she did everything manually. We’re talking about the manual appointment book we started with the old Parker System, and we had one of the very first Macintosh Computers if you can believe that back in the day.

Heather Short: A lot of times I when I was there much longer than the doctor until 10 o’clock at night just balancing everything, getting all the insurance done, the paperwork, it was astronomical.

Dr. Howard Short: Some of the things that I liked are, that you can put together a care plan very efficiently, very fast. It just makes it much easier than trying to figure this out by PayPal, or credit cards, or anything else that people do, I really don’t know. I wouldn’t want to do anything else.

Dr. Alyssa Holum: The Cash Plan Calculator has made it really simple not only for the doctor but the patient as well and it really just benefits both parties.

Dr. Howard Short: Patients when they are on the Auto Debit, they really don’t get off of it if they are on a maintenance plan or a wellness plan as we would call it. Actually, when patients go from a corrective care plan to a wellness plan and they see their payment go down, that’s exciting for them as well.

Dr. Alyssa Holum: Using the Drip-Education System has really simplified the process of sending out a mass blast, for example, an event. We’re really able to reach all of the patients.

Dr. Howard Short: It’s really easy to get that broadcast email out to them, and we always on every new patient set up campaigns so that seamlessly they go out without our CA having to adjust to that.

Dr. Alyssa Holum: That wouldn’t be able to be done I don’t think without Cash Practice.

Dr. Howard Short: I started out with the Cash Practice System when it was on floppy disks. Well, we’ve obviously grown from that and my understanding of how it was going to work in the cloud was completely like, oh my gosh is this really going to work? And once we started using it we never looked back.

Dr. Alyssa Holum: Coming out of school as a new chiropractor can be really overwhelming there are so many things to learn, you don’t know what you need to learn. But Cash Practice has made it really easy and simplified with tutorial videos.

Dr. Alyssa Holum: It just makes it one less thing that you have to worry about.

Dr. Howard Short: It’s very difficult for me to imagine practicing without Cash Practice, anyone can use it. Why everyone doesn’t use it, I don’t know?
